End Violence Against Women and Girls
The Advocates for Human Rights works to promote the human rights of women.
- We monitor and document governmental response to violence against women to make recommendations on how better to protect women and girls and we advocate for new laws and policies based on these recommendations.
- We train volunteers as court observers and collect data on how cases of VAW are handled in court.
- We advocate before the UN with partners to bring attention and pressure onto countries for change.
- We analyze and comment on laws that address women's human rights and safety.
- We train on best practice standards in responding to violence against women.
- We build the capacity of civil society on human rights monitoring and documentation, international advocacy, international human rights standards on violence against women, and effective messaging and fundraising strategies.
- We work in coalition to counter the anti-gender movement through investigation, advocacy, and strategy-sharing.
Don't forget to check out our Stop Violence Against Women website, which serves as a forum for information, advocacy, and change.
